The Eastern PA Youth Sports Association (EPYSA), our sanctioning body, considers all coaches to be mandatory reporters. As such, all coaches are required to complete an annual mandatory reporter training course. This course is provided by SafeSport and can be accessed via the GotSport website.

The first time you take the course it should take 1 to 2 hours to complete. The refresher course should take between 45 minutes and an hour to complete.

If you are already a mandatory reporter, you can use your existing certificate of completion as long as it was completed within the past 12 months. You will need to upload your certificate to GotSport.

To access the training:

1. Log into GotSport.
2. From your GotSport dashboard, click Details next to the SafeSport option.
3. If you have completed mandatory reporter training for your job or with another volunteer organization, click the link Show SafeSport Upload Form and upload your form using the instructions for submitting documents via GotSport.
4. Select Start Course or Access SafeSport.
5. Sign up, or log in, to SafeSport.
6. If you have previously taken the course, you can opt to choose the refresher course.
7. Once you have completed the course go back to SafeSport and click the Check Records button.
8. You should see that the course is marked as APPROVED. If you do not, try again shortly. If it doesn’t show as APPROVED, please contact risk@perkvalleysoccer.org.
