Registration fees provide your child with a team assignment and complete uniform/kit (jersey, shorts and socks) for peewees and for Intramural, SCSL players will receive 2 jerseys and socks
Do I have to live in Perkiomen Valley School District to play?
No, there are no location-based restrictions or requirements for registered players.
How do I become a coach or volunteer?
You can sign up to be a head coach or assistant coach when registering your child for any of our programs. If you do not have a child registered but would still like to volunteer, please email [email protected]. We are a club run by volunteers, so we always welcome additional help and involvement!
When does the season start?
The fall season starts in mid-September, and the spring season starts in early April.
What is the level of commitment my family can expect?
Pee Wee players will commit to 75 minutes (practice / game) each Sunday afternoon during a given season. Youth players will commit to 1-hour games on Sunday afternoons, as well as at least 45 minutes during the week for practice sessions.
How many players are on a team?
The number of players on a team will depend on how many players are registered to a given age-based division. Generally, rosters — for both Pee Wee and youth teams — will have a maximum of 12 or 13 players.
What is the game format?
Youth teams will play 6v6 (5 field players, 1 goalie). Pee Wee teams will have a 30/45-minute practice session, followed by a 30-minute game against another team. Pee Wee session times can differ slightly, depending on the team and coach's discretion.
How much does the program cost?
Regular registration is currently set at $125 per child. Early bird registrations receive a $10 discount, and any late registrations will cost an additional $20. These costs are subject to change, so please refer to the registration page/form for the latest costs.
Where are Youth team practices held? What about games?
Youth team practices are held at various field locations and are determined by the coaches of each team. Possible locations include PV Middle School West, Palmer Park, Waterworks Park, and Limerick Community Park. Games take place at Perkiomen Valley Middle School West.
Do Pee Wee teams have a separate practice during the week?
No. Pee Wee teams will practice immediately before Sunday games as part of their 75-minute session.
Is everyone guaranteed a roster spot?
Yes! If you sign up during the late registration period, however, there are no guarantees. In those situations, it will depend on the number of registrations we have received for a given age division or program.
How are the team rosters built?
Team rosters are constructed according to a few different things: teammate/coach requests, where players live, and where they attend school.
Can I request that my child be on a specific team or with a specific coach?
Yes! We try to honor teammate or coach requests whenever possible, but the request needs to be made during the regular registration period. Requests during late registration or after rosters are built will likely not be honored.
How old do you have to be to play?
Our Pee Wee program begins at 3. We do ask parents to use their best judgement in determining if their child is ready to play. Starting a child too young does not normally benefit the child, the family, or the other players on the team.
Are there tryouts or evaluations?
No. We offer a travel program for players who wish to play in a more competitive environment.
When is registration open?
There are specific registration periods for the fall and spring. The exact dates of the registration window will vary season to season, so please refer to our website for the latest information available.
I'm ready! How do I sign up?
You can register here.
What are the divisions for youth teams?
We have separate divisions for 5/6-year-old players, 7/8-year-old-players. Ages 9 and above are eligible for our SCSL program.
What equipment is needed?
Players need shin guards and an appropriately-sized ball. Non-metal cleats are recommended but not required.
What size ball should my player use?
Pee Wee and 5/6-year-old players will use a size 3 ball. 7/8 year-old players should also be using a size 3; however a size 4 is permitted and is appropriate for larger players.
What if I don’t have coaching experience but want to help?
We welcome any and all volunteers, with or without experience. We run coaches clinics each season and provide resources and guidance for all coaches to get them started and help them along the way.
What if I have other questions?
Please send an email [email protected] and one of our volunteers will be glad to help!
